I am doing another fun project with the Fat Quarter Shop. A very nice block in the Wild Geese Straight Furrows Quilt.
First I chose fabrics to make a small quilt. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to do the full Quilt, only a few blocks. But I love this pattern, so I will be doing the full Quilt for sure.
Here is the block that I made:

I picked these 2 fabrics:
I made HST (half square triangles) using the “Triangles on a roll” paper available at the Fat Quarter Shop.
Place the paper on your fabrics (right sides together).
Sew on the dashed lines and cut on the solid lines:
Then cut them apart:
Remove the papers, then press open:
Then trim the triangles down to size.
Make 2 squares using 9 HST each.
The final block is made with the 2 HST squares and 2 squares of each of the fabrics:
Here are 2 of the blocks.
The blocks are the same. They are just rotated the make the quilt design. Please visit the Fat Quarter Shop Blog to see the full size quilt and links to the blocks made by other bloggers.
