I loved this technique shown by Debbie Hughes for the OnLine classes Clean and Simple 4 Day 2. It’s called Faux Paper Cutting and it’s a “collage” of pieces of die cut shapes. She did hers in a heart and I tried mine in a circle. It’s very therapeutic… almost like making puzzles…
Here’s my card:
Details:
I have used many die cuts to do this:
Memory Box Open Studio Meadowbird brand #30004 (that is the cute bird and the 2 branches underneath).
Memory Box Cherish Border (for the hearts) #98282
Memory Box Kensington border (for butterflies and flowers) #98743
Memory Box Tender Leaves #98313
Memory Box Butterfly Delights #98130 (for the tiny butterflies)
Memory Box Lavish Branch #98486 (for small leaves and flowers)
Lawn Fawn Stiched Journaling card #LF578 (for some of the hearts)
Simon Says stamp Butterfly Tendrils #1766 (for swirls and butterflies)
and Elizabeth Craft Designs for the “Happy Birthday” #717
The card stock is Stardream Lapis and Bazzill shimmer CS (for the turquoise border). The card base is white Stardream.
