World Card Making Day challenge

I am entering a challenge on Ellen Hutson’s blog here for World Card Making Day.  There are 5 different challenges I think.

This card is for the “Trend” challenge.  Chevrons are very trendy right now, and I have used some Patterned paper with chevrons for the background of my Birthday card and my border at the bottom was cut with an Impression Obsession die that mimics the chevron shape.

The inside of the card is very special too – but I will show it later, because the recipient of the card reads my blog and I want this to be a surprise.

Here are the details of the card:

Stamp: Impression Obsession Darling Dahlia H8715 (Alesa Baker Designs)

Happy Birthday DenamiDesign 2001

Ribbon:  Berry Sorbet Papertrey Ink

Dies:  Borders:  Impression Obsession

Patterned Paper:  six by six Vanity Fair by My Minds Eye

Copic markers:  R30, R32, R35, R37, R39

Mini Pearls:  Stamping Up

Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black

Pop dots:  Stampin’Up Dimensionals foam squares (behind flower and Happy Birthday)

(The pink colour behind the eyelet border is made by coloring R32 Copic on a scrap piece of cardstock and gluing behind the border).

The flower was sprayed with Tsukineko Frost Shimmer Spritz

Cardstock used:  For card base:  Canson XL Watercolour paper

Border and Happy Birthday:  Stardream white CS

Flower:  Thin Watercolour CS

Happy World Card Making Day everyone!
