Online card class Summer Card Camp 2 Day 3

I have been taking the Summer Card Camp 2 at Online Card Classes here.

I haven’t had time to do much yet.  Our dog Piper (Julie’s dog… 🙂 ) had major surgery and needs constant attention and Julie herself had a 3rd concussion and had to take time off from work to get rid of her headaches and she stayed with us.  It has been a very busy summer….  They are both on the mend and doing much better.

So this is the first free time I had to try to make my “homeworks” from class.

We have a colour scheme to follow and some sketches.

I chose the middle sketch.  The colours are very unusual, but I think my colours are close enough… I used the last 4 only.

Here is my card:

My flowers look a lot brighter than they are in real life…

I used a “Flip-it” die from Sizzix to make the card base.  Here is the card slightly opened:

And here is the card fully opened with the space on the circle to write the text for the recipient.

Supplies used:

Sizzix Flip it die circle #657586

Sizzix circle dies #657551 and scalloped circles #657552

Memory Box flowers Cherry Blossom #98316

Blue swirl Cheery Lynn Mini Fanciful Flourish Small B291

Blue, Brown and Mauve Cardstock Stampin’Up

Greeting and flag die also Stampin’Up.

The baker’s twine is by The Twinery

The embossing folder is one of the new Anna Griffin by Cuttlebut that I love, Poppy #2001947

To do the flowers, I sprayed some inks on my craft mat with Dylusions Ink spray Funky Fushia DYC36760 and Tattered Angels Chalkboard Amethyst #20024.  I sprayed a little water on top, then I dragged my piece of cardstock through the colours a few times to completely coat my cardstock.  I dried with my heat gun.  The Tattered Angels gives a nice shimmer to the colour…

I didn’t think that the colour was dark enough, so I cleaned my mat and spread some Dusty Concord Distress ink on my mat and sprayed with water.

I lightly glided my cardstock through the colour very lightly to add a bit of darker purple.  I dried again with the heat gun.  Then I cut the flowers with the Memory Box die.

I applied the flowers to the circle with Diamond Glaze.

That’s it!

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Merci de votre visite.
