On Line class Kick Start (First day)

I am taking an On-Line class right now with Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire called Kick Start.

It is very informative so far.  You can still join here if you are interested.

Today’s class is all about inspiration and how to “sort”, catalog and use it.

I was inspired by Jennifer’s card, so I used a background stamp as she did, embossed it and cover the image with ink.  She used sticky canvas as her background, but I used coloured cardstock.  When she was done she melted the embossing powder, but I left mine one.

I also did a banner greeting as she did.  And I added a butterfly.  In the end, it is a lot more similar to hers that I wanted to, but I really like it.

By the way, I love the lace background of this new Penny Black stamp – so delicate.  I will be using it again for sure.

Here is my card:

(Sorry for bad quality of the photo…)

Stamps:  Penny Black Slapstick Floral thread 40-135 and greeting:  Stampin’Up

Cardstock:  Stampin’Up Pool Party and Island Indigo Cardstocks

Inks:  Hero Hues Chalk Ink Ceruluan for background, Greeting (Merci de tout coeur) Distress ink Peacock Feathers, Versamark for Embossing

Embossing Powder:  (for background and greeting) PSX Clear Embossing powder

Gems:  Queens

Tools:  Heat gun, WeRMemory Keepers 1/2″ Corner rounder

That’s it!!!  Thanks for visiting my blog!  Merci de votre visite.
