I am participating in another Online Card Class for Christmas.  The subject of Day 1 is Clean and Simple.

My card started that way, but I guess Clean and Simple is just not my style… It evolved a little…

Here is the card:

Details:

Card size:  5 ½ x 5 ½”

I used Bonnidée’s new Christmas stamps.  I just love that little girl with the deer.  And the trees are individual in 3 or 4 sizes.

You can buy the Bonnidée stamps on line here:  http://Bonnidee.com.  the stamps are on page 4 and 6 of the catalog.

I first inked the sky with Distress inks (Tumbled Glass and Sapphire).  I stamped the trees with Stampin’Up inks Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow. the little girl was stamped in Black Archival ink.

The oval die cut with silhouette trees is by Memory Box #99185.   The shimmery white card stock was first embossed with a Stampin’up by Sizzix snowflake embossing folder.  Because I messed up a little bit, I had to add snowflakes to hide the “booboos” which is why my card is no longer Clean and simple.  But I really like it that way!  The snowflakes are by Elizabeth Crafts designs (the big ones) and Impression Obsession (the little ones).

I cut the snowflakes out of Silver repair tape for Household dryer tubing (shhhh! – don’t tell Jim I took it from the garage…).  You glue it down on card stock, burnish it so that it’s all smooth, then die cut it.

The Noel is also a stamp from Bonnidée.  It was originally Joyeux Noël, but I did a bit of surgery.  Both pieces are still usable…. This stamp can be found here:  French Wording #11 .  There a lot of other nice greetings on that set.  It was embossed in silver embossing powder.

Then using a glue pen, I added dots all over the sky for snowflakes (or stars) and over the ground.  then I added Stampin’Up Dazzling Diamond glitter all over.  Can’t have a Christmas card without glitter!

That is it for now!
