Happy Halloween

I hope you all had a nice Halloween!  It was raining here, but at Julie’s house (where we were to help her hold Piper and give candies), there were still many many kids.  She had to close the door at 7:30 because she ran out of candies.  As usual Jim carved a beautiful pumpkin, but the photo is on Julie’s camera.  I will try to get a photo from her and post it later.

Because we weren’t going to be home, I made some special treats for the little kids across the street.  I did those last year for Christmas, now I wanted to try something for Halloween.  I am fascinated with Halloween stamps and dies, and buy a lot of them, but rarely make Halloween cards or anything else for that matter.  So I wanted to use those 2 dies that I had (and never used).

So here are the Halloween Chocolate surprises that I made:

Halloween chocolate surprise wm sml Io and TH dies

Here is the surprise – when you pull on the ribbon, you get a chocolate bar….

(sorry for the quality of the photo – I was taken quickly with my IPad just before delivering the chocolate to my neighbours).

Here are individual photos of each model:

Supplies:

The cardstock is all by Stampin’Up.

The dies are Impression Obsession DIE-029P and Sizzix Tim Holtz die Halloween Shadows Decorative Strip #658253

I added orange Stickles to the word Trick or Treat (from the Tim Holtz die) and in the eyes and windows.  I also added googly eyes to the owl and the pumpkin (that pumpkin is not part of the IO die, but from the TH die – I just added it at the end).

I was pretty happy with them and my husband thought they were cute!

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Merci de votre visite.
