Happy Birthday Julie

Here is another card that I haven’t shared…. Julie’s birthday which was on April 24th!!

The front of the card is a variation of the Roses card I made previously here.  I just did the same but made it in purple colours.

For the inside, I used a kit that I had received as a bonus in a class by Karen Burniston, for Sizzix.
It is a Pop-up and it uses the Christmas tree die as the pop-up frame.  It has been cut out of a transparency, so it is not supposed to show.  The bird cage is the Tim Holtz Birdcage cut many times and modified to fit where the Christmas tree pieces should fit (cutting slits and trimming).  I have to admit that it wasn’t too easy to do but it was my first time… Only Karen can figure out projects like – she is truly amazing!  I think I will try again, but I might use acetate instead of a transparency… We will see.  In case you would like the instructions to do this, there is a video by Karen… I don’t have the link right now, but if you would like it, email me and I will look for it…. So here is the card, front and inside….

Oh la la c’est très joli!
Je suis certaine que la personne qui reçoit une si jolie carte la conserve comme une carte très spéciale.
C’est très réussi. Je pense que mes mains auraient beaucoup de difficulté à réaliser un travail si délicat.

    Bravo ! Francine.
