Clean and Simple class

The “Online classes” group are offering a new series of classes called Clean and Simple 2.

They are very good classes with lots of techniques, videos and samples.  I really enjoy taking them.

You can find more details about them here:  Clean and Simple classes 2

They have been going for a week already and today is bonus day.

The technique today is to use diecuts to make a Clean and Simple card.

I recently got this new Memory Box die “Luscious Peony”.  It is in two parts: First the solid outline of the Peony and second the more intricate detailed cut of the flower which matches the solid outline.

Here is what the dies look like:

Here is my card:

A side view:

So for my card, I cut the detailed peony from my pink cardstock.  I saved the detailed peony piece.  I mounted the pink cardstock on my scalloped fushia card base with foam tape, placing the peony outline at the top left.

Then I cut the solid peony out of pink glittered cardstock.  I glued the detailed peony (save from above) on the pink glittered solid peony with a glue pen.

Then I applied glue to the back of this peony (solid flower with detailed outline glued to it) inside the peony shape on my card, matching the shape of course.

Then I stamped and cut a greeting with a Hero Arts stamps and matching die cut (using Hero Arts Shadow ink Raspberry Jam mid tone ).

To finish, a little pink stickles in the middle of the flower and 2 little pink gems on each side of the greeting and the card is complete – sweet and simple.  Euh, I should say Clean and Simple.

Thanks for visiting my blog.  Merci de votre visite.
