Watercoloured garden

Today I would like to share this new watercolouring technique I have rediscovered.  I recently attended a craft show and Art Impressions stamps were “demoing” this technique.  Using stamps, inked with water based markers, you create your little scene and use a brush and water to smudge the lines of the stamped image.  Very easy […]

Clean and Simple 4 class Day 2

I loved this technique shown by Debbie Hughes for the OnLine classes Clean and Simple 4 Day 2. It’s called Faux Paper Cutting and it’s a “collage” of pieces of die cut shapes. She did hers in a heart and I tried mine in a circle. It’s very therapeutic… almost like making puzzles…

Here’s my […]

Clean and Simple 4 class

I am taking an Online class again. I really love these. Even though I have been stamping for over 20 years, I always find some new technique to learn. And these are fun – lots of videos and exemples…. This class is called Clean and Simple 4.

On Day 3, the technique was about background.

Happy Birthday Marissa

It was my daughter-in-law’s birthday last week. We haven’t celebrated yet – she just had a baby… so I still have her card, but she doesn’t read my blog, so I think I’m safe…

She likes glittery/sparkly things… so I hope she likes this card… I used a shape from the Silhouette store that I […]

Penny Black Flowers

I fell in love with this stamp from Penny Black. I decided to remove some of the collage to make my card and kept only part of the butterfly. I cut the tag with a Penny Black die set. I added the full butterfly on top of the tag. I colored the flowers with Memento […]

Happy Birthday Julie!

April 24th was my daughter Julie’s birthday! We went out for supper, the whole family, to a Mexican Restaurant.

A very nice celebration!

Here is a photo of us:

And this is the card that I made for her. It is a similar card to another one I made very recently, but I love […]

Another Pop n cut

The card I showed you in my previous post was a Thank you card for a special friend, so I don’t have the card anymore. I decided to make another one for me to keep (and teach if anyone is interested..). The design is the same, just the patterned paper is different.

Here is the […]

Pop n cut card

I have said before how much I enjoy making Sizzix Pop n’cut cards. For this card, i used a new die (for me), designed by Karen Burniston. I love that pop up frame.

Pour Gilles!

One of our good friends from our Miata Club in Ottawa (car club) passed away this week, and he was way to young….

I could not attend the funeral because I had a workshop to do today, so Jim went by himself and I made a card for Gilles’ family.

This is the card I […]
