Bon Voyage (to Japan lucky girl…!) with Pop N Cut suitcase inside

Here is a card I made for a friend who is going to Japan lucky her!

On top of the card, I used a Penny Black Hedgehog image (because they are her favorite, like mine…).  the image was colored with Copic markers and Prismacolor crayons.  The background paper are very, very old from my stash (I’m cleaning up…. 🙂 from a pad by Provo Craft called “Illuminations”.  I also added some Wink of Stella clear glitter on the ladybug and the flower.  The Bon Voyage stamp was inked in black with Archival ink and the stamp is by Bonnidée (no longer available).  Here is the card:

The inside of the card is done with a Sizzix Pop N Cut die by Karen Burniston (suitcase) and decorated with the matching Sizzix die.

I used some Tim Holtz Kraft Glassine paper that I crumbled before I cut it with the suitcase accessory die.  The handle and corners were cut from a piece of DCWV shimmer metallic cardstock.  The background papers (light cardstock) are by Lasting Impressions (again old items from my stack).

Here is the inside of the card:

The stamps (airplane, suitcase, compass, words) are from A Stampin’Up set called Sentimental Journey.  The inks are used are also Stampin’Up (Tempting Turquoise and Calipso Coral).  The words in brown were stamped with Walnut Distressed ink.  The tag at the bottom with cut with another Karen Burniston die by Sizzix (658790) and the edges in the checkered papers were cut also wih a Karen Burniston die but with Elizabeth Crafts Design (Agatha edges 782).  The washy tape I used is also by Stampin’Up.  The corners were rounded after the card was done with a We R Memory Keepers tool (the blue one).

That’s it for now!  thanks for visiting my blog.  Merci de votre visite.
