April Stampin’Up Club Meeting

Tonight was our April Club Meeting for Stampin’Up.  I usually prepare 2 projects for the get-together.
This week I just couldn’t get any inspiration… So I woke up this morning with no projects yet… I told myself that if I panicked, I would end up with nothing… So no panic!  I started surfing the web in search of inspiration…. Found a very nice card on Dawn Griffith’s blog.  She is so creative and she is a fellow Stampin’Up Demonstrator.  I didn’t think that she would mind if I copied her design.  She so nicely gave all the dimensions and supplies.

So here is her card:

It is a card with a detachable bookmark inside.

Here is the one I made (I changed the colours to Taken with teal (to be retired), and the Sweet Peas Designer Paper in So Saffron, and Chocolate Chip.
Love those little butterlies (Sizzix die in the Spring Mini Catalog).

Here is the inside view with the detachable bookmark on the right.
I love it!  Thanks for inspiration Dawn!
Then I had to come up with a second project…. usually a scrapbook page.  I continued surfing the web…. but there are not too many 8 x8 pages made with Stampin’Up supplies.  At least nothing that I liked today.  I was inspired by a card that had the Sweet Pea felt pieces on it and in honour of my friend Amy who just recently became a grandmother, I made this page:

The base of the 8 x 8 page is Kraft cardstock.

The bottom pannel is Rose Red with a small Designer paper panel taken from the Sale A Bration Paper gift Pack (called Good Neighbours I think…)
The flowers at the bottom are Sizzix (cut and emboss) and the ones at the top are Sweet Pea felt pieces (from the Spring Mini Catalog).  The saying (Sweet Pea) is from the Sweet Pea stamp set from the Spring Mini also and it was cut with a Sizzix die (4 tags – from the IBC (Stampin’Up Idea Book and Catalog).  The ribbon is rose red and the photo mat is Pink Pirouette – a colour that will be coming back to the Stampin’Up Colour family in July.  One of the flowers is also Pink Pirouette and the other one is Pretty in Pink.  The bottom of the bottom panel in rose red was cut with the SAB scallop punch.
Pheew!  I got done on time for the meeting.  I hope that my creative juices come back soon!
(Good thing that the next meeting is only at the end of May!
Thanks for visiting my blog!  Merci de votre visite.
