This technique was shown by Jennifer McGuire on Day 3 for the “Background” techniques.  I gave it 3 tries and couldn’t it to work.

The technique is to ink your background with Die ink, then stamp your image over the background with Versamark ink and the image will appear as a white shadow on the background.  I try 3 times with different stamps and I did not work.  It might be a combination of my dye ink and old Versarmark.  I’ll try again another time with fresh Versarmark…  Jennifer did say that if it didn’t work to stamp the image with white ink, which is what I did for my card below.

I stamped the background (Impression Obsession Cover a card Birch Trees #CC100) with Simon Says Stamp Inks Surf blue and Audrey Blue.  I stamped the trees image with Hero Arts Unicorn ink.

The trees and house were die cut with a Memory Box die “Cottage in the Woods” #98536.

For the greeting, I die cut with a Spellbinders die: Ribbons Tag Trio #S3-150.

The greeting is by Stamping Up and embossed with black powder (Judykins).

I used a little of Doodlebug twine on the edge of the tag (I trimmed off the left hole in the tag).

The card base is Almost Navy card stock by Stampin’Up!

That’s it. oh here is the card:
