My son Bobbie had a Birthday just before we left for Florida (at the end of February).  I made this card for him, but forgot to take a photo of it.  I finally was able to coordinate with him to have a picture of it.
(We had problems – he crashed his card loading it, we gave him a software to retrieve it, he sent it to me, it got lost, he sent it again and there it is…. (it took 6 weeks)….)  I think it was worth it, because I love this image.  I am not usually very good at making Men’s cards, but I was pretty proud of that one for a young 28 years old man…  What do you think?  (It’s OK Amy you can leave your comment on my blog, but don’t forget to sign… LOL) (and I would appreciate it very much Amy! and any other one of you who are reading this!  I value your opinion!)
So here is the card:
Supplies / Fournitures:
Stamp:  main image:  Paper Bags Studios (the artist if from Florida)  I found these 2 years ago at the Stamp Boutique in Daytona Beach (Stamp and Deliver).
The greeting is Hero Arts
The brads are old (from my stash).  I think that they are Making Memories – not sure….
The paper is one that I had been saving from Stamping Up (it is retired)
but great news, just found out that the main blue colour in it (Baja Breeze) is coming back in July…
Yeah my favorite blue.
The brown CS is SU chocolate chip.
The beige is SU Kraft.
The card base is SU Blue Bayou (retired)
Embossed with Cuttlebug Embossing folder, then sanded lightly.
The jeans are stamped with Distress ink (faded jeans colour), then cut up and reapplied as a paper piecing on top of the image stamped in Memento Dark Brown.
I am trying a new way of posting to my blog (Notice I also changed the layout – trying it out…)
Hope it works. (I’m hoping that the photos are bigger….)

I have some photos of Bobbie’s birthday to share… You have to know the context.  It was the last of the Olympics, and we were watching the Canada-US Gold Medal game at Bobbie’s place.
Here is a photo of everyone watching the TV just before the US scored the goal a few seconds before regualtion time.  Notice the hands, like in prayer….
This photo was taken right after the goal by the US (seconds before end of regulation time).
Notice the body language and the hands holding the head… (that’s my husband, son and daughter in the photo with Marissa, Bobbie’s fiancee (partly hidden) and Marissa’s Dad in white).
This photo was taken after Canada scored, to win the gold Medal….

I think that they all look happy!!!

This is me with Bobbie and Marissa at the restaurant right after (notice the “fixed” red eyes…. yuck…

And that’s my little Bobbie with his birthday cake…. I know, I know he’s 28 now, but he’ll always be my little Bobbie.  (He doesn’t even go by the name Bobbie anymore… he’s Robert..! But to me, he’ll always be Bobbie…).

Merci de visiter mon blog.  Thanks for your visit.
